Ewan Power is an emerging Irish visual artist and photographer, with a BA in Fine Art Media from the National College of Art and Design, Dublin. Through diaristic analogue practices his work exists as an intimate portrait of the people, places and surroundings that make up an experience of living as a young queer person in contemporary Ireland. Informed largely by personal experiences with grief and loss, the work is tainted yet emboldened by a need to photograph in order to navigate and understand states of emotion. By capturing their world in an unflinching way, the work becomes a uniquely tender portrayal of both a personal life and a community at large.
